Electrolux Ergorapido 2in1 (Lithium 18V) cordless vaccum cleaner review

This is probably one of the best investment as far as how much housework it can help you to relieve. It is selling around SGD$160-190 in Singapore. I was indeed debating whether to get the cheaper NiMH 12V version (ZB2933) or this one which comes with Lithium 18V battery(ZB2943, USmodel:EL1030A) . I went with this one for the higher power and better battery retention. Have been using it for the last 3 months, absolutely love it. It has been reported by various users in various forums that the battery may damage after few months of use, my advise is turn off the charger once the unit is charged to avoid overcharging which will limit the lifespan of Lithium battery, common sense but may not be practical advice. Here are my verdicts:

The Good:

  • modern and sleek, cordless
  • 2-in-1, no more bulky vacuum cleaner and separate handheld dust buster
  • Good battery life: a single charge will last upto 30min with a single charge (NiMH last only 20min), standby can last more than 2-3 weeks. faster charging time of 4hrs
  • Works well on carpet, remove hair with the Brushroll Clean Technology™
  • Batery indicator
  • Bagless bin
  • LED light (to guide picking up dirt in low light condition)
  • Dual setting for adjusting suction power
  • Relatively quiet operation compared to conventional vaccum cleaner

The Bad:

  • Unlike the Bosch’s set, it is not able to stand upright when resting

Verdict: 9 out of 10
